Energy Redesigns Connoisseur Cable Line to Support Latest Technologies

Energy has redesigned its flagship Connoisseur line of premium home theatre cables by improving on engineering, construction, and materials in order to ensure compatibility with the latest audio and video technologies, like 3D TV and ultra-slim flat panel TVs.

The new line specifically addresses trends like 3D, which requires higher bandwidth in order to transmit a video signal, ultra-slim flat panels, custom in-wall installations, and 1080p technology. Thus, the cables fully support 3D video playback via the HDMI 1.4 specification, and consequently, 1080p + HD.

The cables are also FT-4 (fireproof) rated via a PVC jacket, which makes them installable behind walls. They also employ proprietary ArmourFlex protective braiding that protects against damage and makes in-wall pulling easier.

Additionally, the packaging has been redesigned to be more environmentally-friendly, using fully recyclable materials, and measuring 35% smaller than previous packages.

For more information, contact Energy's Canadian distributor, Gentec International, at (905) 513-7733; www.gentec-intl.com.
