It's tough to believe, but Christmas is once again just around the corner. And Sirius is, as it does every year, gearing up to add five holiday music and talk radio channels to its lineup.

Commencing November 16 and running through to New Year's Eve, the channels will feature traditional holiday songs, classical Christmas carols, Hanukkah music, country Christmas hits and contemporary festive music. Special holiday programming will also feature holiday favourites by artists like Dean Martin, Paul McCartney, Andy Williams, Mariah Carey, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Holly (channel 3) will feature contemporary holiday music and traditional favourites, including songs by John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, Josh Groban and Michael Buble. Holiday Traditions (channel 4) will play traditional holiday recordings from the '40s through the '60s by artists like Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Ray Conniff and Nat "King" Cole. It will run through to Christmas Day. Channel 79 will house Holiday Pops, including classical Christmas carols sung by classical musicians like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Luciano Pavarotti, Boston Pops and Leontyne Price. It, too, run with through to Christmas Day. Country Christmas will air in channel 62 until Christmas Day; and Radio Hanukkah will air on channel 76 until December 19. Additionally, that channel will feature a live broadcast of the lighting of the National Menorah on the Ellipse in front of the White House.

All channels will also be available to subscribers online.
