Amaya Foto, a division of Amplis Foto Inc., the Canadian distributor of the Edmonton, AB-based lens and sensor cleaning specialty firm Visible Dust, has announced the availability of the new Arctic Butterfly 724 (Super Bright), which is now equipped with a pair of super bright LEDs that illuminate the sensor while in operation.
Illuminating the sensor reduces the possibility of fibres being dragged accidentally against the surrounding cavity, and hence it reduces the potential cause of smears, notes Visible Dust, adding that the bright LED makes locating dust an easier task for the sensor cleaning operator.
The DC rotary engine has been modified to meet a certain RPM standard, and generates enough centrifugal force to enable speedy dust rejection while increasing the charge enhancement of the fibres.
Another important feature is nano-coating technology for charge enhancements, and the use of super thin fibres for maximum lift capability.
Visble Dust further notes that the Arctic Butterfly can be safely used on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coated sensors, and DLSRs with built in sensor cleaning systems.
