China is proving itself to be the land of the mobile phone, as its government has confirmed that the country now has 1,030,052,000 active devices. That has to equate to lots of texting and gameplay.

In the first quarter alone, an additional 43 million mobile phones were activated. Most of the devices in question are feature phones.

As for those who use smartphones in China, Android is the OS that individuals are turning to. Android devices account for 68% of smartphone sales in the country.

According to the CTIA Wireless Association, the U.S. only has 330 million mobile phone users.
