Yesterday, Vistek's ProVision 2012, a pro imaging expo, set up shop at the Toronto Congress Centre and will continue on until 5 p.m. this evening. The show features a little bit of everything for photo and video enthusiasts.
Event organizers informed Marketnews that this year's show has 4,000 registered attendees taking in offerings from more than 120 vendors, who are housed within the 50,000 square foot exhibiting space.
Notable vendors include Sony Canada, Sennheiser Canada, Nikon Canada Ltd., Lowepro, Sigma, Adobe and an array of others.
In addition to attendees being able to check out everything from the latest cameras and accessories, a series of video- and photo-specific seminars are taking place.
This is the third year for the continually-growing event, and according to Christopher Huchenski, Creative Director at Vistek, the company believes that a show of this nature is of the utmost importance to the photo and video industries.
"We originally started ProFusion because as a photo retailer and video retailer in Canada, we realized that there was a real need for people to come together and do something to increase and sustain the great industry that we have in Canada for video and photo," he explains. "No one is really stepping up to the plate to do it, so we took it up ourselves to do it."
