In interviews with CNET and ZDNet, Research In Motion (RIM) CEO Thorsten Heins stated that the company is looking to embark on a BlackBerry 10 (BB10) roadshow, in order to generate interest from consumers, carriers and developers.
Heins noted that a touchscreen-only smartphone, as well as one that has a QWERTY keyboard, and will be comparable in style to a Bold device, will be the first two BB10 models to debut. The phones, in which Heins says are 80-90% complete, will be shown off to telecom executives and developers next month.
When asked about the pace in which RIM will offer new products, Heins said that he expects launches to occur every 12-15 months.
