Tim Hortons could soon be providing its patrons with more than just newspapers, as the eatery has begun to test out free Wi-Fi in some of its locations.
A couple of Tim Hortons restaurants in Toronto, St. Catharines, Barrie, Red Deer, Kelowna, as well as some U.S. locations are providing free Wi-Fi access to its customers. Starbucks, a heavily popular coffee house and arguably one of Tim Hortons' biggest competitors in the Canadian market, has offered its clientele free Wi-Fi for years.
The company says that it is in the early stages of devising its Wi-Fi plan, as it is still determining who its service provider will be for its 4,000+ North American locations.
