Value Mobile, which has four retail outlets within the greater Toronto area (GTA) has become the second retailer outlet to sell WIND Mobile phones in Canada.
WIND Mobile's first retail partner was Blockbuster, which has been selling WIND Mobile phones through its stores since the brand launched last December. In addition to these two retail relationships, WIND Mobile phones and plans are sold through the carrier's own branded stores.
"We're very pleased to launch our partnership with Value Mobile, which will make WIND Mobile's products and services even more accessible to Canadians," explains Melissa Clark, Vice President, Sales and Distribution, WIND Mobile. "The WIND community is growing every day as we welcome customers to sign on for a better wireless experience in Canada."
Value Mobile's locations and business proposition fit perfectly with WIND Mobile's strategy, which is to target "newcomers" to Canada, and those who might not have a credit card, or are otherwise not able to sign a contract.
"A compelling part of WIND Mobile's value is the control offered to mobile consumers, including the freedom to choose international calling plans," notes Bobby Maker, CEO of Value Mobile. "We're pleased to bring this unique offering to our customers as we officially launch throughout the GTA. Value Mobile is here to stay, and we're delighted to partner with WIND Mobile."
Value Mobile stores are located at the 1 Yorkgate Blvd. in the Yorkgate Mall in Etobicoke, ON; at 31 Tapscott Rd., Unit T41B in Malvern; 45 Overlea Blvd., Unit 161 in East York; and in Cederbrae Mall at 3495 Lawrence Ave. E. in Scarborough.
Celebrations will take place all this weekend to mark the launch of WIND products. The York Gate Mall, Malvern, and East York locations will be holding draws for two Huawei U1250 devices and one month of free service every hour between 1 and 4 p.m. all weekend.

The carrier's products and plans will now be sold through four Value Mobile outlets, marking the second retail partnership outside of WIND's own corporate stores.
